ASHLAND PAINT & PLAIN SADDLE CLUB 2010 POINT SYSTEM RULES

1. Owners, exhibitors, and handlers MUST be members in good standing of the Ashland Paint & Plain Saddle Club. A lease agreement must be registered with the point secretary before points will count. In order to be eligible to receive a year end award you or a representative must do 2 of the following:
a)   Sponsor a class or place an ad in the show booklet
b)   Attend one of the general meetings
c)   Help at least 3 hours at one of the 6 Ashland Paint & Plain approved shows. (You must sign in on the available “Help Sheet” located inside the entry booth.)

2. Points begin accumulating ONLY after the animal or person is registered with the point secretary. The point year will begin on April 18th and end on October 3rd, 2010. 

3. Only Ashland Paint & Plain Saddle Club approved shows for the 2010 season will be allowed to accumulate points for the year end awards. The Ashland Paint & Plain Youth Show (July 17th 2010) will count towards year end awards.

4. Point forms are no longer required. The exhibitor must indicate whether open classes entered in the “Horse” category apply to English or Western points. This will be indicated on the entry form on the day of the show.

5. Each award division must have a minimum of 6 points or you must have shown at least 3 shows in order to receive an award. Ties will be broken by the most number of 1st, 2nd, etc.

6. Classes designated for youth awards: 18 & under classes (age specified, regardless of type of class). 

7. Classes designated for adult awards: 19 & over classes (age specified, regardless of type of class). 

8. Classes designated for Performance Halter division: Performance Halter and only one of the corresponding pleasure classes, either the walk-trot class or the canter class. (The corresponding pleasure class must be entered, shown, and judged in order to qualify for points.)

9. Generation Gap and Pattern Class will follow the horse in the versatility division.

10. High Point Divisions are: 

Lunge Line

Performance Halter

Non Canter 14 & Over

Horse/Pony: Halter, Western, English, Versatility

Youth 18 & Under

Lead Line

Youth 13 & Under Non Canter

Adult 19 & Over


11. The nomination fees are: $10.00 per each division. Members can only nominate for one age division. If you wish to change age division, an additional $10.00 nomination fee per change must be made. The points earned in the previous division will then become ineligible to receive a year end award.
 
12. Inquiries on your specific point totals will only be accepted in writing and must include a self-addressed stamped envelope. NO EXCEPTIONS and no phone calls PLEASE.

13. The Board of Directors, whose decision will be final, will act upon any issue that cannot be resolved by the point committee.
